Understanding Residential Care

Our residential care service is available to those who feel that they can no longer live independently or be cared for at home but who do not have a need for nursing interventions. We support with all aspects of daily living such as personal care, bathing or washing, dressing, toileting, taking medication and mealtimes if required.

You will be allocated a Keyworker whose role is to meet with you regularly to ensure that everything is going well and you are happy with the service you are getting. They will act on any concerns or issues you may have and liaise with the team members on your behalf. They will also be available to your family to discuss any issues you or they may have.

Medical care and support is provided by the GP and District Nurses.

Our aim is to support you to maintain your independence and live the life you would like to live!

Our Residential Unit Manager

I have worked at Kimbolton Lodge for over twenty years as Carer, Senior Carer, Team Leader and for the past six years I have held the post of Residential Unit Manager.

I am passionate about providing a high level of care to our residents and I believe in and enjoy giving truly person centred care that is unique to each individual.  I have had the privilege of meeting and helping a vast number of people in my twenty years of working here and I still love what I do and get huge satisfaction from knowing that we do our very best for each one of them.

I support and lead the team and I am really very proud of their dedication and the high standards they achieve and the warm, friendly and caring environment that they create.
